LIMANY. ECO-RESORT. PART 1. RECEPTION

LIMANY. PART 1. RECEPTION

LIMANY — is a natural recreation center with minimal interference with the environment on the Karelian Isthmus in Saint-Petersburg. The visual language of the residential sector is built on the basis of Karelian history and the mimicry of all recreational architecture under nature to reflect the unique context of the place. The recreation center provides a stylistically redesigned traditional home of the Finno-Ugric people.

The main building, reception, translates the visual code of shaping of the whole funcional pavillions of Limany resort.

Vezha — is a traditinal and ancient hut, which finno-ugric people used for stationary living. From this structure I took the principle of radial shaping around the central point of attraction — fireplace and transmitted it into the similar radial shaping of reception building. And the rhythm of cone-shaped trunks I translate through the roofing solution. Here, in the middle of the structure the fireplace is located surrounded by Karelian pine forest. And all this features of the traditional Karelian housing I matched with the terrain features, winding coasts, a sea spit, and a serpentine stream. Look at the ladder and a terrace decision with the similar winding structure.
